Field Hockey Senior Night

Posted by ChroniclesCapersCanards on 8:37 PM
On Tuesday night I worked the snack shack for the field hockey game. Even though it was senior night, business was still pretty slow. I spent the night working fries, the burger/hot dog box, hot chocolate, and coffee. To eliminate waste we decided to make the hot chocolates to order, filling up the cups with poweder and then adding water. We were able to manage, but had difficulty at times. Hot chocolate is probably the most frequently ordered item off the menu. I found that filling each individual cup with powder was a little too time consuming, and not something I would recommend doing again. My only other suggestion is that when somebody places an order for coffee, the cashier immediatley asks if they would like milk added. They then pass the order on to whoever is taking care of coffee. I feel that is just a little thing that would simplify the process. Other than that, everything went smoothly. It was an enjoyable night. - John Carlson
