Thoughts behind pasta dishes

Posted by ChroniclesCapersCanards on 6:09 PM
As I cook by myself more and more often, I have come to see that the easiest and most versatile food to create is pasta. The act of making the pasta is very easy (assuming you buy pre cut pasta) which is very nice, but then the fact that you can put any sort of sauce on top, and change the entire dish is really amazing. You can go from a very healthy pasta dish, with a pesto sauce, and then you can go in the complete opposite direction and make a creamy alfredo sauce and pile on the cream.
The bad thing about making pasta though, is that I am limited to ingredients that are in my house. Normally that would be fine, but I have found that I end up doing the same sauce every time. Currently I have been making an oil sauce with just onions, garlic and mushrooms. It’s really simple, and I really need to branch out and try new things.
I think the next kind of pasta dish I would like to make would be some sort of creamy spinach sauce. I remember when I visited my Uncle, he made me something similar to that with pignoli nuts. It was in all honesty one of the best things I had ever tasted, and I would really like to try and recreate it. Maybe I can mimic what he did, and possibly make it better.

My lunch at Maggie McFly’s

Posted by ChroniclesCapersCanards on 8:17 AM
My lunch at Maggie McFly’s I had lunch at Maggie McFly’s with my family. The restaurant was in Southbury. I had cheeseburger sliders and French fries. There were 4 sliders with ketchup, bacon and American cheese. The French fries were steak fries. I ordered a special Spongebob drink. It was a banana flavored milkshake. The burgers were just right, the fries were a little soggy and the milkshake was awesome. The milkshake was served in a sundae glass. It had a seedless maraschino cherry on top and a caramel drizzle. My lunch was very good and I would order it again. Jamie B.
