Cheese Bread
A couple days ago we made bread and I wanted to see if I could make it at home with no assistance. So I set out, and looked up a recipe for cheesy bread, since I love cheese. I made my own bread mix, but I had to figure out a way to incorporate the cheese and some kind of herb. I remembered that we had to mix the dry ingredients first then add the liquid ingredients gradually until we had a dough that was a little sticky but had good density to it. So I managed to figure out how to do that, but I still had to add the cheese somewhere. However before I added the cheese I had to mix in the herbs so I sprinkled the herbs into the dough and then kneaded it into the dough so there was a certain amount in every single roll. So, after I added the herbs, I separated the dough into 3 pieces and cut 3 lines into the top of each one. I decided to put the cheese into each line I made so it melted and filled up the lines and hopefully it would make a cool design. I wanted to make it extra and over the top cheesy, so I made a cheesy butter sauce to pour over all the rolls. I melted butter in a medium saucepan over a low-medium heat and waited until it was completely melted then added the cheese before the butter got burned. Then I added some milk and salt to add a little flavor. Once they were ready, I poured the sauce over the rolls and stuck them in the oven. I waited about 20 minutes and checked them. I had to check them every 10 minutes to make sure the cheese sauce wasn’t burning. After they were ready, I shared them with my family and they all loved the cheese coating!
